Just a few days ago, 10X announced the arrival of internationally respected Anton Eser as Chief Investment Officer as the business shifts into a higher gear with the launch of various products and funds.
10X recently launched its seventh unit trust, the much-anticipated 10X Top 60 SA Equity Index fund. The fund, the first of its kind in South Africa, has been billed as an ideal low-cost core SA equity building block in a portfolio. Other new funds and products launched by 10X in a few months of rapid growth include the 10X MSCI World Index Feeder Fund, the 10X Money Market fund and a Tax-Free Savings Account.
Koela brings significant expertise to the investment team at 10X. He joins the business from Stanlib Index Investments, where he was a portfolio manager across both fixed income and equity funds. He has a strong background in quantitative finance and has a Master's degree in Business Mathematics and Informatics from North-West University.
Koela says “10X is a very exciting opportunity. They have the platform and the ambition to be the market leader in index investing in South Africa and it’s great to be joining them at this stage of their journey.”
Koela will report into 10X’s Head of Investments Chris Eddy who said: “We are delighted to have Bokang join the team at such an exciting time for 10X. His portfolio management experience and strong quantitative background will be invaluable to us in building a market-leading index platform here at 10X.”
