Can I revive my endowment policies?

Question:

I had a few endowment policies from Liberty and one from Momentum made "paid up", I think the term was, about 9 years ago, due to financial problems. Since then, I have been lucky enough to have been considered in a relative's will with a fairly substantial sum, in ZA Rand terms. Would there still today be a possibility of somehow "reviving" or re-instating these?

Answer:

Albert, What is the advantage of "reviving" your existing endowments? Why not simply invest in another endowment, if this is what you want, or in an alternate product, such as a low cost unit trust/ETF etc? You would have to check the Terms & Conditions of your current endowment, to see what you can or can't do.
