Does the tax rebate cap on RA contributions carry forward?

Question:

Hi. If I fail to reach the tax rebate cap on my RA contributions, does it carry forward ? For example, if I was R1000 shy of my 15% RA contribution in 2013, and in 2014 I contributed my full 15%, in 2015 can I contribute 15% + R1000 ?

Answer:

Bob, No, this does not carry forward. Only contributions that you could not deduct for tax previously carry forward.
