Does my spouse have to sign anything regarding my claim?

I am still legally married but have not been together for 2 years. My former employer sent me pension paper's for a payout. Do I have to have my spouse sign any papers. And can my spouse try to get some of the payout. But my spouse said doesn't want anything from my pension payout that was offered. So I guess ? Is got papers from former employer and they want to offer me a payout on my pension and since I'm still legally married does my spouse have to sign anything
