I am employed in the hospitality. Our fund used to be with Bambanani, but you guys took over from 01/01/2013. I am being retrenched - how do I go about claiming my retirement fund, as a letter from Sanlam at the time stated that the funds that used to be with Bambanani will be transferred to them (Sanlam). Your money is not with us, as we are 10X Investments, and we are not connected to Sanlam in any way.
However, the transfer to Sanlam should by now be complete. You need to request an instruction notification form from your HR department, fill this in and return it to your HR department, together with any required supporting documentation (typically a copy of your ID and proof of banking). Your HR department will forward this to Sanlam, who will effect your pay-out, probably between 4 and 8 weeks, if your tax affairs are in order.
