How much can I withdraw from my pension in cash?

Question:

How much can I withdraw from my pension in cash at retirement (in percentage), please. Will I pay tax on this withdrawal or will it be tax-free?

Bellington,

You are allowed to withdraw up to one-third of your pension fund as a cash lump sum at retirement. The first R500 000 of this cash lump sum is not taxed, assuming you did not previously withdraw/retire from another fund.
